So many memories with this book…
Starts when I was 10, with my aunt painting an allegorical story to describe the idea behind this book…
Age unknown (maybe after 14) – read it…(absorbing it takes lifetime- be warned)
In my 30’s…read the Seth books-Nature of Personal Reality which described how Richard Bach got the inspiration to write Jonathan Livingston Seagull. The story goes:
Richard Bach, aviator, was walking alone through a heavy morning fog and heard someone call out, “Jonathan Livingston Seagull”.
By the time he reached home he had the beginnings of a story in his head.
So no choice but to write…he wrote non-stop for three months and then Pouf! no more story…
He was stuck.
It was a major writer’s block and remained unyielding for many years…
till one day…
he woke up knowing how it would end!
I love story stories:) don’t you?
